But, the ‘unbreakable’ friendship they forged in the Majorcan villa was soon left in tatters after one huge event. The stunning TV stars were pals before their relationships brought them even closer together – but why the fallout? A source close to the group has now spilled the tea and it all traces back to Matilda and Roman’s “devastating” split back in March. “Matilda has been living the single life since her split from Roman. Obviously, Harriet [Blackmore] is single too, so they’ve become even closer,” a source told us. “It would be weird for Matilda to be spending so much time with Jessie because she’s with Brayden and the Hackett family are all really close.” The 26-year-old has been partying hard since her break-up and from the outside it looks as though Matilda has left Jessica in the dust. She’s been sharing snaps on Instagram with her “dolly” Harriett Blackmore and it seems the brunette beauty is filling the Jessica-shaped hole that has been left in her life. The Sun’s source said: “It’s all become very awkward for everyone involved, and no one really knows how to handle it, because, obviously Roman was completely heartbroken by the split. “He took it really hard and has been abroad working on himself. “He confides in Braydon so Jessie is a bit stuck in the middle of it all.” It seems the fallout was quite sudden and while their wasn’t heated exchanges there’s got to be some bad blood following the silence. As the girls’ friendship is glossed over, it’s clear it’s become harder for Jessica to see if there’s any way back to what they were. The source explained she doesn’t want to hear the ins and outs of Matilda and Roman cutting ties as navigating the whole situation is “hard” and “incredibly confusing.” Fans are starting to notice the huge rift between the reality stars as they become evidently absent from each other’s social media accounts. Jessica entered as a Casa Amor bombshell on day 29 and managed to bag a spot in the main villa after recoupling with Ayo Odukoya. Meanwhile, Matilda was going strong in her couple with candyman Sean Stone. In one emotional episode, she was seen comforting Jessica after it was revealed Ayo felt he had a better connection with another Islander. Jessica and Ayo split in October 2024 with Matilda and Sean breaking up just a few months earlier in August. Gorgeous Matilda was the first to get into to a relationship with a Hackett after she met Roman at a birthday party. They announced their relationship in December 2024 and fans believed they “belonged together.” But, they parted ways earlier this year after sending fans into a meltdown when they sparked engagement rumours. A source told The Sun at the time: “Matilda is absolutely devastated about the split. “They tried for a while to make things work but they aren’t together any more.” Jessica and Braydon confirmed their romance in January 2025 and revealed they knew each other from before Love Island.
