He was shifted to a Srinagar hospital on Friday (July 31) night with chest injuries and later succumbed. Earlier, another non-local worker, identified as Deepak from Chhattisgarh, was shot dead in the terror attack in Kulgam’s Kelam area.Suspected terrorists on Friday evening opened fire on the non-local workers who work at a brick kiln in Kulgam. They managed to flee the area under the cover of darkness. Security on the Amarnath yatra has also been beefed up. J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, who condemned the brutal terror attack on labourers, directed the security forces “to step up their operations and eliminate the terrorists”.Mr. Sinha said the J&K administration and the entire nation stand with the families.
