Now, a 911 call obtained by PEOPLE has revealed further harrowing details about the incident, including that at least some of what took place was witnessed by at least one of the children in the home. The call was made by a child who lived at the property at around 11:15pm in which Gilson could be heard “screaming and crying.” “I could hear a female in the background screaming and crying. Some sort of loud bang in the background,” the dispatcher is heard telling first responders en-route to the home. They arrived at 11:18pm where they found the bodies of the estranged couple. On July 11, less than two weeks before her death, Gilson posted a TikTok video following a popular trend re-creating a sit-down interview for a Netflix documentary. “Preparing for when Netflix drops a documentary about my soon to be ex husband who I just found out is a pedophile,” she wrote, adding “I wish I was joking.” Most read in The Sun The clip has been viewed by over five million people. Court documents seen by PEOPLE show that a month earlier, on June 10, a woman filed a protective order against Duffey, a basketball coach, claiming that her 15-year-old daughter who was on the team had been abused by him. She alleged that the 48-year-old had been seen kissing and fondling her daughter by another coach and that her daughter subsequently told her that it was not the first time he was inappropriate with her, The Oklahoman reported. Duffey is also accused of sending messages to the child inviting her to his hotel room while on a tournament trip and trying to bribe her with cash “to keep her quiet.” The mom-of-two had publicly accused her estranged husband of being a pedophile in a now-viral TikTok video Credit: GoFundMe Gilson filed emergency protection orders against Duffey after a mom told cops he had been seen kissing and fondling her 15-year-old daughter while coaching a youth basketball team Credit: Instagram / sarajgilson The team coach who witnessed the alleged assault while Duffey was alone with the minor “immediately intervened and reported it to the juvenile’s parents,” Owasso Police said. In the meantime, Duffey fled the scene and cops called Gilson to inform her of the incident and on how to file protection orders against him, which she did, along with a divorce. In those emergency protection documents, seen by The Oklahoman, she claimed he had a gun, was threatening to commit suicide and “went on the run.” She appeared in court a month ago to stand up her claims for protection and Duffey was ordered to leave the home and stay at least 100 yards away from her. A GoFundMe page has been established by Gilson’s friends in an effort to raise money to support her two children. “Last night, our beautiful friend, Sara, was tragically taken from us in an unimaginable act of violence,” the friends wrote. “Her sudden and heartbreaking loss has left an entire community grieving, but the greatest loss is felt by her two precious children, who must now face life without their loving mother. “Sara was an incredible mom. Her children were the center of her world, and everything she did was for them. “She loved them fiercely, worked hard to provide for them, and dreamed of giving them the best life possible.” If you are experiencing domestic violence, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline for free at 1-800-799-7233 or go to thehotline.org.
