At the end of your first journey into the Deep Dark in Minecraft Dungeons 2, the only way out will be through the Twisted Warden. It's the first boss you'll face, and knowing its patterns will make life a lot easier. The Twisted Warden has a few phases that get harder as you go on, but the main key is patience. Understand its attacks and when it uses them, and you can get through the fight in no time. Companions also help; that way, the boss isn't focused solely on you. How To Reach The Twisted Warden To get to the Twisted Warden, you'll have to venture into the Deep Dark. The entrance is North of the Howling Woods, just above the Spider Caves. A mine cart station is situated just South of the entrance, so you can quickly return whenever you'd like. Once you're in the Deep Dark, simply make your way through the caves until you reach the end. You'll find plenty of mobs to fight and emeralds to collect, as long as you avoid the falling stalactites and gravel patches along the path. At the end of these caves, you'll reach a long stone-brick bridge that leads to an open platform. This platform will be where your fight with the Twisted Warden takes place. How To Beat The Twisted Warden At the start of the fight, you'll have to worry about a couple of different attacks. First, it covers the ground in souls, making it harmful to walk through the blue patches. You'll have to navigate your way through this and keep moving; otherwise, it'll hit you with one of its melee attacks and knock you into the souls anyway. It will also shoot a massive, straight beam of soul energy that pushes you back and traps you, dealing massive damage. If it hits you, try to move out of the beam before you take too much damage. This beam is a two-pronged attack because, along with the powerful beam itself, numerous homing projectiles shoot out at the same time. Simply keep moving laterally from the Twisted Warden, and you'll be able to avoid these, even though they don't do as much damage. It's not always a bad idea to run off the platform. The damage is minimal and can buy you precious time. Occasionally, the Twisted Warden will spawn groups of skeletons and illagers, which are useful for farming souls to use your artifacts. This can get overwhelming when you're trying to run around the soul patches on the floor and dodge arrows, but keep moving in circles around the platform to stay alive. As you get the Twisted Warden's health down below three-quarters, it will introduce a spin move that deals damage and knocks you back when it hits you. Try to keep as much distance as possible when it does this, so that the attack ends before it reaches you. The Twisted Warden deflects ranged attacks while it spins. After whittling it down for long enough and running around in enough circles, you'll be able to take out the Twisted Warden. You just have to balance farming souls from the spawned mobs and using them to unleash massive damage whenever you can. Time your potion recharges with your attacks, so if you get hurt, you can get away and heal. Then, keep your distance long enough to regain another potion before repeating the process. Just don't get greedy; take your time, and you'll be out of the Deep Dark before you know it.
