She really is. I'm very happy. It's been wonderful and continues to be wonderful. And you know, I think the lads [his sons] are really happy, as is my ex-wife Jane, actually.' Si King has revealed he has found love with a new partner after suffering the heartbreaking loss of his best friend and TV partner Dave Myers Best known for being one half of the cooking double act The Hairy Bikers alongside Si King, Dave died from cancer aged 66 in 2024Si was married to Jane Dodd for 27 years before they separated in 2016, citing the demands and long absences caused by his career for the breakdown of the marriage.During their marriage the couple welcomed three sons; Alex, James and Dylan.'It's about being present, and I think for very many years I wasn't present. And my home life suffered,' he said in the interview. When asked how he is doing now, Si said: 'I'm all right, I mean look, it's challenging and I continue to work probably too hard, but I kind of don't know what else to do.'Dave was married to Liliana 'Lili' Myers after meeting in Romania in 2005 while filming the first Hairy Bikers series and later married in 2011.He died peacefully at home, with his widow Lili, his family, close friend David and Si King at his side.Lili recently responded to cruel trolls who told her to 'stop crying and get on with life' two years after his death.Liliana, 59, documents her grieving journey on social media and helps people navigate their own grief, loss and pain. She often lays bare her own emotions and speaks about how her late husband's death has affected her.In a lengthy post on Facebook, she wrote: 'I'd like to address some interesting views that have appeared on my page recently.'A few people, who maybe have come across my posts by chance, have commented that I should 'get on with life' and stop 'crying all over Facebook'. That's okay. Lili recently responded to cruel trolls who told her to 'stop crying and get on with life' two years after his death Lili documents her grieving journey on social media and helps people navigate their own grief, loss and pain'This is cyberspace. It's open to everyone, and I'm not here to judge the people behind those comments or make assumptions about their lives.'But I do want to make one thing clear. My posts are not written for everyone. They are written for people who are going through one of the toughest periods of their lives. For people living through loss. For people facing uncertainty.'For people who are angry, frightened, exhausted, confused or in despair. For people trying to adjust to a life they never asked for. And most importantly, they are written from a place of grief.'Not an abstract understanding of grief. Not something I have read about in a book or observed from a distance. Well, I actually have been studying and reading about grief and human behaviour a lot!'But my own grief has been the reason to go deeper into this! The kind of grief that changes you. The kind that follows you into ordinary moments, sits beside you in silence, catches you unexpectedly and makes you realise that the life you knew no longer exists in quite the same way.'I write about grief because I live with it. I write because sometimes putting words to something is the only way I can make sense of it. Because grief has so many faces — sadness, anger, fear, guilt, loneliness, disbelief, exhaustion, even moments of peace — and none of them make the grief any less real.'I have experienced enough of it to know that there is no simple instruction to "get on with life". You do get on with life. But you do it with grief.'You learn to carry something you never wanted to carry. You learn to live around an absence. You find a way forward without pretending that what happened didn't change you.'That is what I write about. Not because I want to stay stuck in grief. Not because I want pity. And certainly not because I believe grief should define the rest of our lives. In a lengthy post on Facebook, she wrote: 'I'd like to address some interesting views that have appeared on my page recently' Liliana was flooded with messages from supportive fans in her comments urging her to keep on sharing her journey with grief'I write because somewhere behind a screen there may be someone sitting alone, feeling something they cannot explain, wondering whether they are the only one who feels this way.'Maybe they need to know that someone else understands. Maybe they need words for something they haven't been able to say themselves. Maybe they simply need to be reminded that grief doesn't have a timetable, and that there is no shame in still feeling it.'If my words aren't for you, that's perfectly okay. But they may be exactly what someone else needs today. And for those people, I will keep writing. With love. ❤️'Liliana was flooded with messages from supportive fans in her comments urging her to keep on sharing her journey with grief. One wrote: 'How insulting to someone who is dealing with grief at the same time helping others. 'You are getting on with a new version of your life. Having adventures, making new memories with strength, grace and honouring gorgeous Dave. Keep being you xxx we adore you'.Another penned: 'You are 100% right Lili and you are helping more people than you realise. Shame on those who have nothing better to do with their lives than find a reason to criticise others.'
