Habagat to bring rains, gloomy skies on Marcos’ Sona

INQUIRER/ MARIANNE BERMUDEZ MANILA, Philippines — Gloomy skies with isolated rains are expected to prevail over Metro Manila brought by the southwest monsoon, or habagat, on Monday, July 27, during the fifth State of the Nation Address (Sona) of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., the state weather bureau said. In a weather outlook released Friday by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the southwest monsoon is forecast to be the dominant weather system affecting the country on Monday. The president will hold his annual address, scheduled every fourth Monday of July, at the session hall of the Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City. Meanwhile, the rest of the country is expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with occasional rains due to localized thunderstorms.
