The get-in price for Ed Sheeran’s Saturday show in Philadelphia has nearly halved over the past three days, following the removal of rapper Macklemore as supporting act for his pro-Palestinian remarks, according to Forbes. Macklemore’s removal prompted all four opening acts to withdraw from the show in solidarity. Citing the secondary ticket marketplace TickPick, Forbes said the cheapest single ticket price for Sheeran’s Saturday show at Lincoln Financial Field fell to $51 on Friday morning, from the $100 get-in price recorded on Tuesday morning. The fall in prices has, however, led to a 54% surge in the availability of tickets. Macklemore had said he joined Sheeran’s tour to be able to say “two words that are very near and dear to my heart: free Palestine.” (AFP)
