Firefox 157 Beta Released With Latest Enhancements

The Firefox release train keeps on rolling. With Firefox 156 released, Firefox 157 is now in beta ahead of the planned release coming up at the end of September. The Firefox 157 beta better handles HDR videos encoded with 8-bit color formats to properly display, improved audio/video synchronization when changing the playback rate for an HTML media element, and fixing the vertical tabs sidebar in some conditions. On the developer side is now support for the at-rule() function for @supports and support for the "chain" value for the CSS overscroll-behavior property. Firefox 157 is also bringing Mozilla's latest work on their Nova UI design, including the bringing back of Firefox's compact mode option for a denser UI. Firefox 157 Beta can be downloaded for those interested via ftp.mozilla.org. Firefox 157 stable is expected on 29 September.
