Two firefighters responding to a blaze have ended up in hospital after their truck rolled in Manawatū.Fire and Emergency (FENZ) said the volunteer crew was on its way to a vegetation fire when it crashed on Mt Biggs Rd on Friday at 12.20pm."Three of our people were injured in the crash," a spokesperson said.Hato Hone St John dispatched two ambulances, one rapid response unit and one operations manager.It said two people with moderate injuries were taken to Whanganui and Palmerston North hospitals."Fire and Emergency New Zealand is supporting them, their families and the rest of their crew and will continue to do so as long as it is needed," the spokesperson said.Police said cordons are in place and the serious crash unit had been notified.
