The Monte Carlo trim is now available in Shimla Green and Steel Grey, both featuring a distinctive dual-tone finish. The new colour editions will be limited to just 200 units and will be offered with both automatic variants of the Slavia Monte Carlo.Commenting on the announcement, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India, said the Slavia Monte Carlo has been well received for its distinctive styling, premium appeal, engaging driving dynamics and strong motorsport heritage. He added that the new colour options enhance the individuality and desirability of the Monte Carlo range while giving customers greater choice without compromising on the model's blend of style, performance and modernity. What remains unchanged?Apart from the new paint schemes, the Slavia Monte Carlo continues unchanged. It retains its signature blacked-out exterior treatment, Monte Carlo-specific styling elements, black-and-red themed cabin and feature-rich interior. The sedan is available with two turbo-petrol engine options, both paired exclusively with automatic transmissions:1.0-litre TSI three-cylinder turbo-petrol producing 115bhp and 178Nm, mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic.1.5-litre TSI four-cylinder turbo-petrol developing 150bhp and 250Nm, paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic. The larger 1.5-litre TSI engine continues to offer Active Cylinder Technology (ACT), which shuts down two cylinders under light engine loads to improve fuel efficiency. It also features plasma-coated cylinder liners for improved thermal management and efficiency.Monte Carlo heritage The Monte Carlo badge draws inspiration from Skoda's long-standing motorsport legacy and its association with the Rallye Monte Carlo, dating back to 1912.The company also highlighted its recent motorsport-inspired achievement in India, where the Slavia Monte Carlo, Kushaq Monte Carlo, Kylaq, Kodiaq and Octavia RS collectively set an India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records entry for the Fastest Multi-Car Relay of a Single Manufacturer on a Circuit. The five-car relay, including driver changeovers, completed a lap of the CoASTT circuit in Coimbatore in 12:30.97, forming part of Skoda's "Greatest On A Track is a koda On A Track" campaign. The introduction of the two limited-edition dual-tone colours aims to further strengthen the Slavia Monte Carlo's appeal among buyers looking for a more distinctive and exclusive version of Skoda's premium midsize sedan.Subscribe to Auto Today Magazine - EndsPublished On: Jul 21, 2026 12:54 IST
