Everything We Know About ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 5

Ted Lasso returned for its fourth season this summer on Apple TV, and after 10 new, exciting, must-watch episodes, we quite simply need more. So will the show return for a fifth season? The new season saw Ted (Jason Sudeikis) return to London after a few years back home and this time he’s coaching Richmond's women's team. Over the course of the series, Ted finds himself trying to establish public support for the team, coming to blows with the team's assistant coach Alice Chilton (Tanya Reynolds) and encouraging the team to get open with their emotions. The final episode of the season dropped, and it left us wondering what is coming up next for the Lady Greyhounds. Here's what we know about the potential season 5.AppleThe fourth season of Ted Lasso ended with plenty of plots up in the air aka plenty of potential for another season. Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) proposed to Matthijs (Matteo van der Grijn) and he said yes. Roy (Brett Goldstein) is heading to Chelsea to coach the team, while Ted has stepped down as head coach and Alice was given the promotion she deserved, so we really need to see how these storylines develop. So far there's been no official word from Apple TV that the show will continue, however back in July ahead of season four, Apple TV executive Matt Cherniss gave a very telling interview about the show's future. While speaking to Deadline, Cherniss was asked whether they had begun work on season 5, to which Cherniss replied: "Jason’s still hard at work on season four, and I know he’s looking to jump into the next season soon, but to my knowledge, I don’t think we’ve gotten started on it yet." Okay, so that definitely sounds like there's another season coming, right?Jason Sudeikis, who serves as the series creator, as well as the lead character, has also hinted at there being more seasons to come. After three series focused on the men's team, airing from 2020 to 2023, Jason recently told The Hollywood Reporter he was planning the story of the women's team to also have a "three season arc".It's all adding up and looks like we could have not one, but two more series of this show!
