EgyptAir Pilot Ahmed Adel, Chairman and Executive Managing Director of EgyptAir Holding Company, honored Dr. Marwa Salah for her humanitarian efforts and professional medical intervention in saving a passenger’s life. The passenger suffered a sudden health emergency aboard EgyptAir Flight MS780 traveling from London Heathrow to Cairo International Airport on July 10, 2026. The chairman expressed his appreciation to Dr. Salah, noting that her actions reflected the highest values of humanity and professional duty. He awarded her a complimentary EgyptAir ticket. Additionally, he honored the cabin crew for their efficient, professional handling of the emergency, which helped ensure the passenger’s safety until the flight landed safely. In a statement shared following the incident, the passenger noted that Dr. Salah stayed by his side for over two hours, providing critical medical care under highly challenging conditions with support from other doctors on board, the cabin crew, and the flight captain. The passenger also praised EgyptAir’s rapid response, as the airline arranged for an ambulance and a medical team to meet the aircraft immediately upon arrival in Cairo, enabling him to receive prompt follow-up care and stabilize his condition.
