According to eyewitnesses, an unidentified person allegedly threw eggs towards the crowd, leading to outrage among devotees and a tense situation in the area.Soon after the incident, thousands of people reportedly gathered on the streets and raised slogans demanding the immediate arrest of those responsible. The situation remained tense as protesters sought strict action against the alleged perpetrators.Senior Mumbai Police officers, accompanied by additional personnel, reached the spot after being alerted about the incident. Police officials engaged with the agitated crowd and appealed for calm. After several hours of discussions and assurances of fair and strict action, the protesters dispersed peacefully and returned home. Police have registered a case against an unidentified person under relevant sections of law and launched an investigation to identify the accused.Investigators are examining CCTV footage from the spot and nearby buildings to establish how the incident occurred and identify the person allegedly responsible for throwing the eggs.
