Exactly a year after its initial all-digital release, Dying Light: The Beast has finally been confirmed to be getting multiple physical editions that can be pre-ordered from today. I can’t believe it, but it’s already been a whole year since Dying Light: The Beast released and showed us all what a sequel to Dying Light should have been. No shade on Dying Light 2 and everything it got right, but The Beast is what most fans wanted to see from the next step in the series. One of the only notable problems with Dying Light: The Beast is that it was strangely confined to digital storefronts only, with no physical release at all. Techland hinted that might change in the future, and that’s finally been confirmed with multiple physical editions that are available to pre-order from Super Rare Games starting today. Dying Light: The Beast Is Finally Getting A Physical Release But Ironically, Only On PS5 Fittingly for the game’s one-year anniversary, Super Rare Games announced that it’s teaming up with Techland to bring Dying Light: The Beast to your shelf with a proper physical release. Strangely, the physical edition is exclusive to PS5, so anyone who played on Xbox might have to jump ship if they really want Kyle Crane’s return on disc. The aptly-titled Definitive Edition includes all of the game’s updates, DLC, weapon packs, and add-ons across all three editions of the game. The most basic edition is the £60 Retail version, which comes with the full game, game manual, Outpost digital extras instruction insert, and doesn’t have a capped pre-order quantity. After that, there’s the more limited £64.80 SRG Standard Edition, which comes with an exclusive slipcover, SRG sticker, and a numbered SRG release. Finally, there’s the £172.80 Anniversary Edition, which comes with a boatload of goodies, including an A4 hardcover artbook, double-disc soundtrack, poster, Castor Woods map, two pins, six postcards, some stickers, and a Castor Woods patch. Both the SRG Standard Edition and Anniversary Edition will have limited pre-order quantities, with final numbers announced on October 16. Pre-orders for all three editions of the game are now live on the Super Rare Games website, and will be running for a little under a month until October 16.
