Dy eyes passage of additional Ledac priority bills before yearend

MANILA, Philippines – House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III expressed confidence that the House of Representatives can pass more of the administration’s priority legislation before the end of the year, noting that many of the remaining measures are already in the advanced stages of the legislative process. In a video statement, Dy shared that several priority bills are already moving through Congress, including the proposed Cybersecurity Act, which is scheduled for second reading, while eight other measures are awaiting action by the Committee on Appropriations or the Committee on Ways and Means. READ: Speaker Dy rallies House to sustain momentum on Ledac priorities Article continues after this advertisement “Marami sa natitirang priority bills ay nasa advanced stage na po ng ating legislative process,” Dy said. “Kaya hinihiling po sana natin sa ating mga counterpart sa Senado, na tulungan tayong maisabatas na ang iba pang mga bills bago matapos ang taon.” The Speaker said the House will continue prioritizing legislation that directly addresses the needs of ordinary Filipinos. “Patuloy nating bibigyan ng prayoridad ang mga panukalang direktang makatutulong sa mga Pilipino at sisiguraduhin nating masusi at timely ang pagtalakay sa mga ito,” he said.
