The final chapter in the Dungeon Crawler Carl LitRPG series is among the most highly anticipated upcoming releases for fans of the genre, though it may be a bit of a wait before we see how everything plays out for Carl and Donut, considering the last entry is planned to span two separate physical novels. Fortunately, the story will come to life on screen as well, thanks to a greenlit series for Peacock from Seth MacFarlane’s Fuzzy Door and Universal Global Television. The live-action adaptation received a straight-to-series order in June 2026, with Thor: Ragnarok writer Chris Yost writing and executive producing alongside MacFarlane’s team. Series creator Matt Dinniman is also directly involved as a co-executive producer, while longtime audiobook narrator Jeff Hays has been confirmed to voice Princess Donut. Peacock has yet to announce a premiere date for the series, but the adaptation is officially moving forward and could realistically arrive before the final book is released. That said, before any of that happens, Dungeon Crawler Carl is about to enter the beginning of a brand-new era with the upcoming release of Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable. Unstoppable Is The Beginning Of A New Dungeon Crawler Carl Era Dungeon Crawler Carl is quickly becoming much more than a bestselling LitRPG series, and Unstoppable represents another major step in that expansion. Developed by Renegade Game Studios, Unstoppable is a solo or two-player cooperative roguelike deck-building game that adapts Matt Dinniman’s World Dungeon into a tabletop experience. The game uses John D. Clair's existing Unstoppable system, but completely reworks it around Carl, Princess Donut, and the escalating chaos of the novels. Players begin with the first three floors of the 18-floor World Dungeon, fighting mobs and bosses while upgrading abilities and equipment through a card-crafting system featuring more than 280 cards. Upgrading makes players stronger, but also increases the power of the threats they face. Players can tackle individual floors through Arcade mode or work through them sequentially in Campaign mode, where certain upgrades carry forward. Alongside the full Dungeon Crawler Carl tabletop RPG, Unstoppable effectively opens an entirely new era for the franchise beyond novels and audiobooks. The response has already been enormous: Renegade’s combined BackerKit campaign raised more than $13.29 million from nearly 56,000 backers, dramatically exceeding its $250,000 goal and demonstrating just how large the audience for new Dungeon Crawler Carl experiences has become. Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable Arrives This November Players looking for more than the $60 Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable core game will have several ways to expand the experience almost immediately. The Crawler Chaos Expansion, priced at $25, adds Katia, Imani, Prepotente, and Archie, alongside the option to build a completely original crawler using additional race and class cards. It also includes Swarm, a new short story by Ben Wolf chronicling Archie's entrance into the World Dungeon, giving fans some original fiction alongside the gameplay additions. The $25 Iron Tangle Expansion takes a different approach by extending the actual campaign onto Floor 4, recreating the enormous interconnected subway system from the novels. It adds new Threats, Tactics, Allies, Upgrades, five bosses, Iron Tangle map mats, and the Nightmare Express, allowing players to continue progressing beyond the three floors included in the base box. Both expansions require the core game. Renegade is also offering $20 double-sided playmats designed specifically for standard/solo and two-player co-op setups, with layouts intended to keep threats, bosses, upgrades, and other cards organized. All of these products are currently listed for a November 2026 retail release. BackerKit originally estimated campaign fulfillment by October 31, 2026, meaning crowdfunding backers could start receiving their copies slightly earlier. Needless to say, it's an exciting time for Dungeon Crawler Carl fans looking for a new adventure.
