DPWH warns vs unauthorized individuals deceiving public, contractors

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) on Friday warned the public and contractors against unauthorized individuals misrepresenting the agency. According to the DPWH-NCR, a certain individual is posing as Las Piñas-Muntinlupa District Engineer Ryan Dela Cruz to solicit money from contractors, companies, and the public. “A memorandum from the Las Piñas-Muntinlupa District Engineering Office has clarified that a certain ‘Engr. Allen Delos Santos’ is falsely introducing himself as the Executive Assistant (EA) of the District Engineer, and is claiming to act on behalf of the Office of the District Engineer for personal matters and unauthorized communications,” the agency said in a statement. With this, the agency noted that Dela Cruz already denied authorizing the transactions. “The DPWH maintains strict professional boundaries, and any calls or requests made by this individual are considered fraudulent,” it added.
