Coronation Street’s Christina risks her life by taking on her daughter’s killer

It’s a big risk (Picture: ITV) Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) recently made a discovery about her biological daughter in Coronation Street that left her chilled to the bone. It was revealed a few weeks ago that Christina is Rachel Parkinson’s real mum. The woman was allegedly murdered by Tim Metcalfe’s (Joe Duttine) cousin Richie (Nathan Sussex) earlier this year. In the aftermath, Richie and teenage daughter Lucy (Anya Dewin) claimed that Richie killed Rachel in a moment of self-defence. However, after watching one of Lucy’s old family videos, Christina began to wonder if the reality was something different. When Richie approached her, it became clear that the woman was scared of her husband. Christina watched this moment in horror, and later told George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) that she thinks Richie was abusing Rachel, not the other way round. Determined to get some answers, Christina decided to write to Richie in prison and, in upcoming episodes, she goes to visit him. During her meeting, Christina tries to win Richie’s trust by claiming that she has a brother who went through a similar situation to him. While Richie is grateful for the support, George worries that Christina is getting out of her depth. In the cafe, Sally confides in Christina and reveals that she’s worried about Lucy moving back in.
