Claudia Winkleman makes rare comment about kids as she shares the one thing she'd 'never' do

I don't post a lot of stuff on social media. I have posted six times this year."Winkleman also reflected on how her own upbringing has influenced her parenting style. She recalled that the one rule her father, Barry Winkleman, had when he took her as a child to art galleries was that they could only view one painting per visit because “he did not want to bore me to death”.“Now, when I take my kids, we are in for the duration. But there was no rush when my dad took me and it made me want to go back. My dad taught me so much,” she added.Winkleman, who recently announced that she quit her BBC talk show after just one series, also recounted the other life lessons she learnt from her parents - including some existential ones.They included manners such as “make the tea and be early” and “be the last one to leave”, as well as wise words about the futility of worrying about appearances: “Don’t worry what you look like. It is just a shell and that is going to go’.”Her mother, renowned journalist Eve Pollard, was a “brilliant feminist” who refused to buy her a Barbie doll because the doll did not represent what women should look like, Winkleman said.“I was told to ‘be interested, don’t worry about being interesting, and ask questions’,” Winkleman continued, adding that she felt “grateful” that she saw her parents work “so hard”.On the occasion she does speak of her family, she talks about how much she has learnt from her children and the lengths she will go to spend time with them.She added in her interview with The Mirror: “I have learned everything from my kids. Life before was just waiting for them."Winkleman herself was born an only child, but later gained siblings through her parents’ remarriages. Barry and Eve divorced in 1975 when she was just three years old.Eve later married former newspaper editor and broadcaster Sir Nicholas Markley Lloyd, with whom she shares son Oliver Lloyd.Meanwhile, Barry remarried to children's author Cindy Black and had Sophie Winkleman, who is best known for her roles in Peep Show and Two and a Half Men.Sophie is now known as Lady Frederick Windsor after marrying Lord Frederick Windsor, the son of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, in 2009.
