A NINE-YEAR-OLD BOY has been left fighting for his life after a serious crash as a man and a woman are arrested. Police rushed to Shannon Road in Kings Norton, Birmingham, just before 6pm last night after two vehicles crashed. The pair were also taken to hospital for checks following the crash, a spokesperson for West Midlands Police said. The force asked that anyone with information about the crash contacted it as soon as possible. In a statement, the force said: “We’re appealing for information following a serious collision in #Birmingham earlier this evening. “We were called to Masshouse Lane at the junction of Shannon Road in Kings Norton at around 5.55pm to reports of a two-car collision. “A nine-year-old boy was taken to hospital and remains in a critical condition. “A man and a woman were arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. They were taken to hospital to be checked over.
