Become an influencer, you're doing well: CJP's Abhijeet Dipke's swipe at PM Modi

Mocking PM Modi's social media outreach to protesting students, CJP's Abhijeet Dipke said the Prime Minister should quit office and become a social media influencer "as he is good at it."Dipke alleged that governments in several states were tracking down and harassing students who took part in the CJP-led protests.Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Wednesday took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he should step down from the country's top post and "become an influencer" instead, mocking the Prime Minister's social media outreach to students amid the nationwide protests over the NEET paper leak.Dipke, while speaking to the media after returning to his hometown in Maharashtra following Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, said PM Modi seemed better suited to being a social media influencer and should step down to let someone else do the job of running the country."I think Prime Minister Modi should now become an influencer. He is doing a good job as an influencer. He should vacate the Prime Minister's chair; so that another leader can handle that job," Dipke said when the media asked him about the Prime Minister's videos on social media addressing students.The CJP founder also alleged that the student protesters continue to face harassment even after the agitation was called off and accused state governments of targeting those who participated in the demonstrations. "After the CJP protest was called off, governments of various states are tracking down protesters and harassing them. The government should stop harassing students. If it does not, protesters will teach it a lesson in the upcoming elections," he said.He claimed the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan had not diminished public anger. "The anger of the protesters has not subsided just because of the Union Minister's resignation; it was directed at the government," Dipke said, while questioning why the BJP had "failed to understand the anger of the youth".Warning that the agitation could resume if students continued to be targeted, Dipke said the government should not mistake the end of the protest for the end of the movement."These students are not terrorists. They are the future of our country. If the future of the country is troubled in such a way, just as Dharmendra Pradhan had to step down... tomorrow, we will go and change the government if it doesn't fall in line," he said, adding that the next agitation will be "on a much bigger scale" if necessary.Furthermore, the CJP founder also demanded strict action against those responsible for the use of pellet gun on student demonstrators during the CJP protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar."Whether it be Amit Shah or anyone else, action should be taken against the person who gave orders to fire pellet gun," he said.Responding to criticism over celebrations by CJP supporters after Pradhan's resignation on Saturday, Dipke defended the volunteers, saying they had spent 36 days protesting in difficult conditions."The volunteers were sitting in the harsh sun and in the rain for 36 days. What is wrong with celebrating after such a big victory? What does the BJP do after winning elections? The volunteers did not block roads like the BJP people do," he said.While speaking to the media, Dipke also questioned the BJP's decision to felicitate Pradhan in Parliament after his resignation."Did the BJP not feel any shame in felicitating Dharmendra Pradhan in Parliament after students had committed suicide?" he asked.Dipke also targeted the Centre over its handling of paper leak cases, saying the government's promises were not being matched by action."Three days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised fast-track courts for paper leak cases. People were happy. But what happened?
