Antonio Nafarrete as the next chief of staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), succeeding retiring Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr., the Department of National Defense announced on Tuesday. The announcement came hours before the AFP’s change of command and retirement ceremony at Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo in Quezon City. Nafarrete is currently the commanding general of the Philippine Army.
