Aldi is releasing a £10 spray mop this week – I’ve found one even CHEAPER with more features that’s a ‘game changer’

While browsing, however, I came across a microfibre spray mop on Amazon from TINA&TONY at £8.49 – around £1.50 less than Aldi’s, with a fair bit more in the box. Sign up for the Money newsletter Thank you! The head is dual-fibre microfibre, the handle is lightweight aluminium, and it works across hard flooring. Assembly is minimal, which matters when the alternative is twenty minutes with a diagram. Middle-aisle stock doesn’t hang around, though, and if it sells through on Thursday, you’re waiting for the next drop. Amazon’s option ships with three washable microfibre pads instead of one, so you can strip a dirty one mid-clean instead of stopping to rinse. More than 900 have been bought in the past month, but what tips it, for me, is the 2-in-1 head. The pads attach with Velcro, but there are also four clamp holes on the head, so you can push a disposable wipe, a cloth or an old T-shirt in and use that instead. The head swivels 360 degrees under sofas and beds, and there’s no charging or batteries involved. Credit: Amazon One five-star reviewer called it a “game changer”, writing that they spray and wipe and that the spare cloths are the part they love. Another rated the value and says it doesn’t leave floors too wet, while a dog and toddler parent reckons it beats a traditional mop. It isn’t spotless. One four-star reviewer says the Velcro is poor, and another buyer reported the handle repeatedly detaching from the head. If you want the brand on the box and you’re near a store on Thursday, I’d take the Aldi one. If you’d rather have three pads and the disposable cloth option, the Amazon mop is the better buy — and it’ll turn up without you having to be in the car park at 8am.
