A Truck Demanding EA ‘Save Mass Effect’ Is Currently Driving Around The Company’s Headquarters

The #SaveMassEffect movement did some crowdfunding last month in order to pay for billboards outside of EA’s offices and December’s Game Awards, advocating for the continuation of BioWare’s sci-fi RPG series following the studio’s closure on October 21. One of those billboards went up in Times Square, and another is up today, as a mobile billboard truck is currently driving around the publisher’s Redwood City headquarters. The truck was ordered by “We Are Mass Effect” organizers Kala Elizabeth, Ariel Aguilar, and Mer, and is going to drive around the property for four hours until 1 p.m. Pacific Time. Mer tells Kotaku that the driver will be circling the HQ as closely as they are able without trespassing. The group has asked anyone who is in the area to send photos, while also warning against entering EA property. 🚨 WE ARE BACK ON THE STREETS Together with @kalaelizabeth, our first mobile billboard is now outside EA's HQ and EA Sports HQ. 📸 If you're nearby, send us pictures! Please don't enter EA's property.#SaveMassEffect pic.twitter.com/5N87nz8uDR — We are Mass Effect – #SaveMassEffect (@WeAreMassEffect) November 6, 2026 Fans of BioWare and the Mass Effect series have been particularly riled up in the past few days, as N7 Day, which was once BioWare’s annual celebration of the series, is tomorrow, November 7. As the day has approached, it’s become clear that BioWare had several licensing deals in place for new merchandise before it was shut down, and likely would have released a new tease for the now-cancelled Mass Effect: Universe. Earlier this week, Canadian fans signed an e-petition requesting the House of Commons explore the possibility of funding BioWare developers, enabling them to buy the studio and its IP from EA, though any such deal would require the cooperation of the publisher.
