These Omega-level mutants have the ability to devastate entire cities or even alter reality itself, making them both extraordinary and terrifying all at once. While some Omega-level mutants thankfully use their powers for good or remain neutral, others use them for their own gain. That said, no matter how they choose to use their power, the fact that they possess such devastating abilities can make their very existence incredibly unsettling, especially if they have a history of recklessness or abusing their power. With seemingly no upper limit to what their powers can do, these Omega-level mutants effectively stand as some of the most fearsome in the Marvel universe. Exodus Bennet du Paris, better known as Exodus, is a mutant whose powers were awakened by Apocalypse in the 12th century. His Omega-Level telekinesis allows him to manipulate matter, create force fields, and unleash powerful psionic attacks. He also possesses other powers, including telepathy, teleportation, and an extended lifespan. Apocalypse seals Exodus in a state of suspended animation, where he stays until Magneto awakens him in the modern era. Exodus stands out because throughout the comics he stands as a militant extremist who views mutants as the superior species that is destined to rule over or wipe out humanity. He doesn’t hesitate to wage war, and his cult-like mentality makes his religious fanaticism all the more dangerous. Paired with the fact that his powers are directly tied to his conviction, Exodus stands as one of the most terrifying mutants in Marvel. Magneto Magneto is one of X-Men’s most formidable adversaries as well as an incredibly popular figure in the franchise. He’s an Omega-level mutant with control over magnetism and electromagnetic forces, allowing him to manipulate metal and electromagnetic energy and create powerful force fields. Along with his scientific knowledge and tactical intelligence, there’s no question as to why and how Magneto became one of the franchise’s most formidable characters. While Magneto is introduced as a villain, he grows over time into a complex figure who stands alongside the X-Men as a hero and anti-hero. That said, his powers, especially in the modern era, make him incredibly dangerous. From weapons to communication systems to electrical grids and more, Magneto has the power to disrupt modern society as we know it. Storm Storm, real name Ororo Munroe, has the power to manipulate every aspect of the weather. On the surface, it may sound as if she can only summon lightning or command the wind, but in reality, she controls temperature, atmospheric pressure, humidity, electromagnetic energy, and more. Her intelligence and precise control over her power make her one of X-Men’s greatest leaders. Luckily, Storm has never willingly aligned with the villains in the main continuity. With her control over the environment, she can easily take command of nearly any battle she takes part in by turning the atmosphere itself into a weapon. What’s more impressive is that her power isn’t bound to Earth, enabling her to control solar winds and cosmic storms. Elixir Joshua Foley’s ability to manipulate organic matter grants him the ability to heal and regenerate limbs and organs, cure diseases, restore lost abilities, and even resurrect the dead, including himself. However, his power also works in reverse. With a single touch, he can cause rapid decay, grow malignant tumors, cause heart attacks or cerebral hemorrhages, and more. Elixir most commonly aligns with the heroes and despises the aspects of his power that can cause harm. While he does what he can to avoid using powers that can harm and kill others, it’s directly linked to his mental state, and once activated, he has trouble shutting it down. While his power to heal and repair is extraordinary, his ability to destroy from the inside out is also deeply unsettling. Mister M Absolon Zebardyn Mercator, better known as Mister M, has the power to control matter and energy at subatomic levels. He can transmute elements, convert matter into energy, alter biological structures, and he can even manipulate his own physiology. His power ranges from healing to force fields to suppressing other mutants’ powers. Mister M is largely a pacifist and ultimately chooses to leave Earth to reside in Otherworld, where he lives an isolated life as an omnipotent observer. What makes his Omega-level power so frightening is that he can essentially rewrite reality on a whim. He can, and has accidentally, turned someone inside out, has the power to spontaneously generate nuclear explosions at will, and can alter the very genetics of other mutants. Despite his immense power, Mister M is largely a pacifist and ultimately chooses to leave Earth to reside in Otherworld, where he lives an isolated life as an omnipotent observer. Proteus Kevin MacTaggert is a mutant whose true form is made up of unstable psionic energy rather than a physical body. With his power, he can warp reality, reshape matter, distort space, and alter the laws of physics through thoughts alone. However, he is unable to sustain himself independently in the physical world, forcing him to possess human hosts, whose bodies deteriorate at a rapid pace due to the strain of his power. When Proteus was first introduced, he stood as a villain for decades before modern publications shifted his role into that of a hero for the mutant race. Yet, for decades prior, he was a fearsome adversary who would burn through and discard innocent lives just to fuel his own, making him one of the most terrifying Omega-level mutants in Marvel. Monarch Jamie Braddock, better known as Monarch, is an Omega-level mutant who sees reality as an intricate network of quantum strings. By manipulating these strings, he can reshape matter, alter physical laws, distort time, create life, and open portals between dimensions. His abilities also allow him to change other people’s powers, however, his unstable mental state makes his behavior difficult to predict. Monarch stands out compared to other Omega-level mutants is the casualness he has in rewriting existence and his apathy towards Earth-616. Since he views reality through a heavily distorted lens and is psychologically scarred by immense trauma, his unpredictability drives him to act based on his whims, delusions, or other impulses. Franklin Richards Franklin Richards is the son of Fantastic Four’s Reed Richards, Mister Fantastic, and Susan Storm, Invisible Woman. He has reality-warping abilities that can reach universal and multiversal scales, as he can reshape matter, space, and time itself. Beyond that, he can also create entire pocket universes and manipulate other cosmic forces. While Franklin’s mutant status has changed throughout publications, it’s undeniable that he’s one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel universe. With his power, he can seemingly rewrite and erase realities effortlessly, and given his age when he began demonstrating the extent of his power, Franklin stands as a frightening example of how much power a child can possess. Jean Grey Jean Grey is a founding member of the X-Men whose Omega-level telepathy and telekinesis let her influence minds, manipulate matter, and exert force at the molecular level. Paired with her connection to the Phoenix Force, she possesses the power to reshape existence at a cosmic level, granting her power over life, death, energy, and rebirth. But what I do best isn’t very nice.” You’re the fierce loner who acts first and philosophises later — but beneath that adamantium-plated exterior beats a heart that cares far more than you’d ever admit. You’ve been burned enough times to distrust the world, so you keep people at arm’s length, yet you’d throw yourself into any fight to protect the ones who slip past your defences. You don’t need a cause or a manifesto — you just need someone worth fighting for. Like Logan, your greatest strength isn’t your claws or your healing factor; it’s the stubborn refusal to let the people you love face danger alone.Fierce Protective Resilient Untamed 🧠 Professor X (Charles Xavier) “Just because someone stumbles and loses their path, doesn’t mean they’re lost forever.” You’re the visionary who sees the best in everyone — even when the world gives you every reason not to. Your greatest power isn’t telepathy; it’s an unshakeable belief that understanding and compassion can bridge any divide. You lead not through force but through hope, building bridges where others build walls. Some call you naive, but you know that real strength lies in extending a hand to your enemy. Like Charles Xavier, you carry the weight of a dream that most consider impossible, and you refuse to let it die.Visionary Empathetic Diplomatic Hopeful 🧲 Magneto (Erik Lehnsherr) “Peace was never an option.” You’re the survivor who learned the hardest lesson life has to offer: the world will not protect you, so you must protect yourself. Your conviction is unbreakable and your patience is terrifying — you’ll wait years to set the right plan in motion. You don’t hate humanity; you simply refuse to let your people be victims ever again. Every action you take, no matter how ruthless, is driven by a profound love for those who share your struggle. Like Erik Lehnsherr, you are both revolutionary and tragic — a leader forged in pain who will bend the world before it bends you.Resolute Strategic Ruthless Unyielding ↻ PLAY AGAIN Jean’s power to infiltrate minds and control the physical world makes her one of X-Men’s most powerful mutants. Since she is also the Phoenix, she holds the power to destroy on a cosmic scale in the palm of her hand, making her both extraordinarily formidable as well as immensely terrifying. Legion Legion, whose real name is David Haller, is the Omega-level mutant son of Professor Charles Xavier himself. He has severe dissociative identity disorder, splitting his mind across countless distinct personalities, each of which is associated with different abilities. His power ranges across telepathy, telekinesis, pyrokinesis, time manipulation, reality warping, and more. Legion is arguably one of the most powerful mutants in existence, developing new personas and abilities seemingly out of nowhere. His unpredictability and the extent of his powers make him extremely volatile, and he has previously fractured the timeline, causing the Age of Apocalypse.
