Yurok village dispute

EUREKA, Calif. — A federal court in California tossed civil rights claims against the city of Trinidad brought by the Yurok tribe, which said the city blundered its handling of the Yurok village of Tsurai, a city-owned property, for example by allegedly disrespecting the tribe’s culture in the language of a management plan for the property and refusing to properly consult with the tribe.
