Published Oct 14, 2026, 5:12 PM EDT Mark has been a comic book journalist for over 15 years and has interviewed comic book creators like Gail Simone and Caspar Wijngaard. And when he's not writing, he's working on beating his record of 1,200 comics read in a year. Astrology has been around longer than many may realize, but its popularity seems to be ever-growing. More and more, people base their lives and personalities around the alignment of the stars and how they correlate with their date of birth. Sometimes it’s a negative thing, and other times it’s something fun to do or a way to look deeper into why a person may react to things differently than others. A really creative person could look at the traits that are usually designated for a sign and connect them to comic book characters. For example, which of the X-Men fits the 12 Zodiac signs best? All of them may not be perfect, but they will make sense. Aquarius: Magneto (January 20 – February 18) Right from the start, this spot goes to Magneto. A quick look at a red flag for an Aquarius is emotional detachment. That one was easy to see considering that most of the problems with mutant infighting started with Magneto and Charles Xavier making their issues everyone else’s problems. If they just shared their feelings, maybe they wouldn't have fought as much. On the positive side of things, they’re also creative. This is something Magneto has shown to be true for as long as he’s been around. Just look at the number of times he’s done something new with his mastery over magnetism. Pisces: Colossus (February 19 – March 20) This was the easiest connection to make. Piotr Nikolaievitch Rasputin epitomizes everything that a Pisces is. He’s compassionate, artistic, and despite being superhumanly strong, he’s known to be a gentle soul. Sadly, the negative parts are just as bad. Colossus can be too trusting. Comic book fans have seen this get him into bad situations with the Acolytes and his evil brother, Mikhail. Luckily, the X-Men are normally there for him when he realizes he trusted the wrong person. Aries: Quicksilver (March 21 – April 19) Impatient and moody? How could this not be Quicksilver? Beyond the irony of Pietro being a speedster who's quick to anger, he has little to no patience for anyone except his sister Wanda and his current girlfriend, Monet St. Croix. Everyone else is just another peasant he doesn’t have tolerance for. Quicksilver is also confident. Maybe too much, but that’s something many people may say about an Aries. They may look at you sideways for saying overly confident, but they'll reply, “Maybe I'm not confident enough.” Taurus: Cable (April 20 – May 20) Despite Cable's complicated backstory, Nathan Summers is the true epitome of Taurus. He’s stubborn, territorial, and the only change he’s okay with is when he’s altering the timeline for the better. Yes, everything that was mentioned has kept Earth-616 spinning and free from Apocalypse’s tyrannical rule. Nevertheless, he’s easily the epitome of a Taurus, and it’s doubtful anyone would disagree. Gemini: Multiple Man (May 21 – June 20) Sure, this is a bit on the nose, but Multiple Man truly fits the mold of a Gemini. They can be gentle, affectionate, and, most of all, curious. The curiosity could be the most obvious. It's why Jamie Madrox sent duplicates around the world to gain knowledge he could later absorb. One of the negative Gemini traits is their indecisiveness. For Madrox, decisions are difficult because he can make every choice imaginable. Sometimes, this leads him to make poor decisions or walk out in the middle of a confrontation because he doesn’t want to disappoint his teammates. Cancer: Rogue (June 21 – July 22) If a person is feeling down, or the vibe is weird, a Cancer can tell. Rogue’s power allows her to do this by touching someone, but she doesn’t need her mutant abilities to do this. This is highlighted in Gail Simone’s Uncanny X-Men when she’s dealing with her longtime X-Men family and her new wards, the Outliers (who are now the New Mutants). If there’s a negative thing about this, it’s that Rogue can sometimes be suspicious of someone new when they’re around her loved ones. It’s a good trait since people are always out to get them. Although this isn’t someone she’s been for years. Once upon a time, this led to Rogue apologizing for being too judgmental. Thankfully, she’s been more patient with people, even the ones who don’t deserve her kindness. Leo: Storm (July 23 – August 22) Leos are typically known to be the most compassionate of all the signs. They’re also warm-hearted and incredibly generous. These are all the qualities of Ororo Munroe, aka Storm. Normally, this would be the part of the section where the negative attributes are mentioned. The only fault that’s applicable is a Leo’s inflexibility. In Storm’s case, that’s a good thing. She’s always refused to go against her morality because she understands that what she stands for is right. However, there have been some cases where she gets why something must be done, but doesn’t agree. Virgo: Cyclops (August 23 – September 22) A big thing for Virgos is that they’re loyal, and Scott Summers is the most devoted member of the X-Men. Sometimes that allegiance to someone or the X-Men's cause can come back to bite him because he’s blinded to what's really happening. A major example is how long he followed the orders of Charles Xavier despite all of the horrible things he did. Because of Cyclops' analytical personality (another Virgo trait), there’s no way he didn’t see the signs. Kitty Pryde was right when she said, "Professor Xavier is a jerk!" Scott should have taken notes. Libra: Nightcrawler (September 23 – October 22) There will be zero Kurt Wagner slander here because he’s a perfect angel despite looking like a demon. He possesses all of the positive traits of a Libra, like being diplomatic, gracious, fair-minded, and social. If there were one red flag, it’s that he sometimes falls victim to self-pity. However, it’s part of what keeps him humble, so that will be put in the positive column. Scorpio: Wolverine (October 23 – November 21) Unfortunately, despite many positive traits, the Scorpio sign is often associated with a great deal of emotional baggage. There are negative stigmas that come with being one, like being emotional, hot-tempered, and a loner. Some of these are accurate, but in the case of Wolverine, they’re sometimes positive. Logan, like Scorpios, is misunderstood. His distrust (another Scorpio trait) comes from over a century of being used and abused, and his quick temper is thanks to his animal-like mutation. Both of those contribute to Wolverine being a loner. With all of that being said, it's also why he gets emotional and reacts when he sees injustice in the world.
