'My discomfort was that he was 18.'She said that Jordan's age made her feel 'uncomfortable' about the scene, adding, 'He was a baby! A baby with a mullet.'The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Osment for further comment on the story. Emily Osment, 34, says she requested an intimacy coordinator while filming a kissing scene on Young Sheldon she was not fully comfortable with. Pictured this past April in LA Osment in the book said that show producer Tim Marx agreed to have an intimacy coordinator on hand for the filming, but it had been too 'late in the day' to have a professional show up on the set.The actress said that the show 'had never thought to hire an intimacy coordinator before,' but was able to have one on hand during production on 'the next few episodes' for the romantic scenes.Osment said that the intimacy coordinator's presence 'made everything easier,' as she said she felt their presence during the filming was 'something that's really important.'She added that she wanted to make clear with Jordan that he was able to ask for an intimacy coordinator when he felt it was appropriate.Osment described Jordan as 'such a sweet kid' and said she felt 'he would just eat his discomfort' in a circumstance as such. She added, 'I don't know if Montana even knew if he could ask for that. Like, let's give him the option, too. Make him comfortable.'The show's co-creator Steve Molaro said in the book that Osment 'had every right to ask for that' and was 'comfortable without one' as the show continued.Alex Reid, the director of the episode in question - titled A Lock-In, a Weather Girl and a Disgusting Habit and broadcast January 13, 2022 - said that asking for an intimacy coordinator 'had never been discussed' prior to that. But we totally dropped the ball on that.'Osment 'was a thousand percent right' in her instinct to request an intimacy coordinator, Reid said.'Obviously they worked that out, and they have a great chemistry now, but that was kind of embarrassing,' Reid said.Young Sheldon, which first hit the air in 2017, is a spinoff prequel for The Big Bang Theory.Jordan played Sheldon's brother Georgie for the full duration of the series, while Osment appeared on a total of 39 episodes over the show's final three seasons. The two have reprised their roles for the spinoff Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, which first hit the air two years ago and had its third season premiere earlier this month.Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage airs on CBS Thursdays at 8/7c.
