You’ll Never Guess Who Trump Is Now Calling ‘THE ENEMY’

Donald Trump, a continued threat to the safety and security of the United States, has been obsessed lately with trying to rename artificial intelligence as “super intelligence” by fiat. And a new Truth Social post is a weird escalation in his war on commonly accepted tech terms. “The White House considers anyone that uses the term, ‘Artificial Intelligence,’ as opposed to the highly accepted new and more accurate term, ‘Super Intelligence,’ THE ENEMY!,” wrote Trump, signing his name to the missive in all caps. If you heard someone ranting like this on the bus, you’d probably move seats and avoid eye contact. But this is coming from the most powerful person in the country, if not the world. And any time Trump declares someone an enemy, he does his best to use the power of government to destroy them. Oligarchs like Nvidia’s Jensen Huang, Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, and SpaceXAI’s Elon Musk have all adopted the term “super intelligence,” which, a decade ago, used to mean AI that had surpassed human intelligence, though it was styled as one word: superintelligence. Musk even says he’s going to change his company’s name to SpaceXSI. Amazon’s Jeff Bezos became the latest tech oligarch to embrace the term SI in an interview with Bret Baier of Fox News this week. “I do like SI, because artificial is not a very flattering thing,” said Bezos. “Like, nobody wants an artificial sweetener, artificial flavoring. Artificial sort of means fake.” It will certainly be interesting to see what Trump tries to do now that he has a new “enemy” on which to focus his rage. The president has called many different people and groups his “enemy” over the years, including journalists and Democrats. Trump has even painted Canada as an enemy, destroying one of the great geopolitical alliances of the past 200 years. Only an unhinged maniac would think that Canada is an enemy of the United States. Unfortunately, this is an unhinged maniac with an enormous amount of power. Shortly after Trump tweeted about “super intelligence,” he addressed recent reports that he may start another campaign of heavy bombing against Iran in an effort to bring down gas prices. The president insisted, “We will not be attacking Iran at any time prior to the Midterm Elections to be held in the United States on November 3rd.” You need to take every promise from Trump with a boulder of salt. But it wouldn’t make much sense to bomb Iran if the goal is to bring down gas prices in the U.S. The election is less than a month away, and even if we assumed that a bombing campaign would free up the Strait of Hormuz (it almost certainly would not for any extended period of time), the oil transiting the Strait would not come online immediately to help the supply. Instead, Trump is likely to keep insisting that he’ll give out $5,000 checks in an effort to bribe voters to vote Republican. And then there’s whatever he alluded to on Tuesday when he said that Russ Vought, director of the White House Office of Management and Budget and an architect of Project 2025, had some “big surprises coming up in another few weeks.” Nobody seems to know what that means, but we’re guessing it’s not a positive development for Trump’s assorted “enemies.”
