Tipster Digital Chat Station posted on the popular Chinese platform Weibo that the Xiaomi 18 Fold will cost over CNY 10,000 (roughly Rs 1,40,677). Comparatively, the price is a bit higher than the previous Mix Fold 4, priced CNY 8,999 (around Rs 1,26,599). The leak further states that the 18 Fold might get a special-coloured edition. At the same time, compact foldables are easier to carry but usually come with smaller screens. The Xiaomi 18 Fold appears to sit somewhere between the two.The phone will come with a 5.38-inch cover display, which expands into a much larger 7.58-inch inner screen when unfolded. Xiaomi says the folded device is roughly the size of a passport, making it easy to carry and comfortable to use with one hand. When opened, the larger display should offer more space for multitasking, watching videos and other tasks. The first-look video gives us a closer look at the phone’s design. It shows the device in a deep red finish, along with a horizontal camera island on the back. The camera module includes three cameras and an LED flash.Xiaomi has also shared some details about the phone’s internal design. The company has confirmed that Leica has worked with it on the camera system, suggesting that camera performance will be one of the key areas of focus for the foldable. Another highlight is the new “dragon bone” hinge. Xiaomi says it has also used a simulation-based testing system to test the hinge and improve the phone’s overall durability.Under the hood, the Xiaomi 18 Fold will be powered by the company’s new Xring O3 flagship processor.
