The new foldable follows the wider and more compact design approach seen on some recent rivals, while packing Xiaomi’s new Xring O3 flagship chipset, a Leica-tuned triple rear camera setup and a 6,000mAh battery. The phone also gets large AMOLED displays on both the cover and inner side, along with Android 17-based HyperOS 4. Pre-orders are now open in China, with sales set to begin later this month.Xiaomi 18 Fold specs and featuresThe Xiaomi 18 Fold features a 5.38-inch AMOLED cover display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the inner side gets a larger 7.58-inch foldable AMOLED display, also with a 120Hz refresh rate. Both screens support up to 4,000 nits of peak brightness. The inner display uses low-power Pol-less technology, while the cover screen is protected by Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 3.0.Under the hood, the foldable is powered by Xiaomi’s 3nm deca-core Xring O3 AI flagship chipset. It comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, with the top-end variant using LPDDR6 memory. The Xiaomi 18 Fold runs on Android 17-based HyperOS 4 out of the box.For photography, the Xiaomi 18 Fold gets a Leica-backed triple rear camera setup. It includes a 200-megapixel main camera with an f/1.7 aperture and OIS, paired with a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera offering 3.5x optical zoom and 7x optical-quality zoom. There is also a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. For selfies and video calls, the phone has 16-megapixel cameras on both the inner and outer displays. The Xiaomi 18 Fold packs a 6,000mAh battery with support for 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Despite the large battery, Xiaomi has kept the foldable relatively slim. It measures just 5.02mm when unfolded and 10.68mm when folded, while weighing 219 grams.The foldable also comes with side-mounted fingerprint unlocking and face unlock. Other features include stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, spatial audio and a three-microphone array. Connectivity options include dual Nano-SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC and a USB Type-C port. The phone also carries IP58 and IP59 ratings for dust and water resistance.Xiaomi 18 Fold price and availability The Xiaomi 18 Fold starts at CNY 10,999 (roughly Rs 1,55,000) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 12GB RAM and 512GB model is priced at CNY 11,999, while the 16GB RAM and 512GB model costs CNY 12,999. The top-end 16GB + 1TB variant with LPDDR6 RAM is priced at CNY 14,999, or roughly Rs 2,11,300.Xiaomi is also offering a Ceramic Special Edition with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. This version is priced at CNY 15,999, which is roughly Rs 2,25,400.The Xiaomi 18 Fold is available in Black, Nishino Red and Warm Gold White colour options. The phone is currently up for pre-order in China, with sales scheduled to begin later this month.
