There are so many games on Xbox Game Pass that it can often be rather easy to overlook those that are leaving the service. Of course, Xbox does a decent job of alerting you to those that are disappearing, but even then, one can quite easily miss the notifications. That's a shame, as often the games leaving the service are some of the best and are absolutely worth giving a try before they're gone forever. Indeed, simply knowing they're going gives users the opportunity to buy them at a discounted price before that goes too. There are always more games added to Game Pass each month to make up for those leaving, and, for some, this is enough. However, for those who really don't want to miss a single title and wish to at least have the chance to decide whether they're worth playing or buying themselves before they leave the platform, there is one final opportunity to do so. Subscribers have just a few days left to try these titles before they are gone forever. There have been some truly enormous games that have left Game Pass over the past few months. Back in August, Game Pass dropped The Witcher 3 just before the recently released remaster came out, despite the game having only been on the platform for a few months. Every time it happens, it stings just a little, but that's why these final few days of a game being on the service are so important, especially for those who wish to get them discounted before they leave. There are nine games leaving Xbox Game Pass in October. Each one will be taken off the platform on October 15, 2026, giving users just six days as of the time of writing to either blast through them or buy them. Included among these games are some significant titles, many of which one could easily compare to the likes of The Witcher 3. While one won't be able to play through all nine in just a few days, it should be enough time to give them all a try. Here is everything leaving Xbox Game Pass: A Plague Tale: Requiem (Cloud, Console, and PC) Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (Cloud, Console, and PC) Crime Scene Cleaner (Cloud, Console, and PC) Donut County (Cloud, Console, and PC) Evil West (Cloud, Console, and PC) Nova Roma (Game Preview) (PC) Pacific Drive (Cloud, Console, and PC) Superball (Cloud, Console, and PC) The Casting of Frank Stone (Cloud, Console, and PC) Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is absolutely the biggest game on that list to be leaving, and likely a devastating loss for anyone who was just starting to get into it. It is also sad to see the brilliant and surreal open-world survival title Pacific Drive and the phenomenal narrative-driven game A Plague Tale: Requiem leave, the latter of which is a must-play for anyone looking to enjoy the latest entry in the series that released in August. However, while these games leaving is a shame (albeit an inevitable one), there are lots of great games being added to Game Pass. Among those coming in October, subscribers can look forward to playing Battlefield 6, Gears of War: E-Day, Valor Mortis, and Minecraft Dungeons 2, most of which are day-one releases. It's a great lineup, one that should hopefully make up for the likes of Clair Obscur leaving, and one that should add even more value to the already stacked Xbox Game Pass.
