Woman sexually assaulted by running man in park before he fled as cops launch manhunt

NewsUK News A WOMAN has been sexually assaulted by a man who was running past her in a park. Police have launched a manhunt for the suspect who fled after the assault by touching in Harrogate at around 8.30pm on September 6. The woman was walking on The Stray between Knaresborough Road and Wetherby Road. The suspect has been described as a white man of skinny build. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! He was said to be wearing shorts, a blue/green running jacket and a white baseball cap. North Yorkshire Police have urged anyone with information to make themselves known. Witnesses can call, email, report via the forces website or live chat. A spokesperson for the force said: “We’re appealing for information about a sexual assault by touching that occurred in Harrogate. “It happened at approximately 8.30pm on Sunday 6 September, on The Stray, between Knaresborough Road and Wetherby Road. “The victim was walking on The Stray when an unknown man sexually assaulted her whilst running past her. The suspect has then run off in the direction of Wetherby Road.
