Detective Inspector Gavin Mulcahy said: “We take reports of any sexual offences in our city centre very seriously and although an arrest has been made our detectives are still working to establish what happened in the early hours of Sunday 19 July at the Albert Docks. “We think the woman pictured may have vital information that could help an ongoing police investigation. Therefore I am appealing directly to this woman or anyone who recognises her from these images to come forward and contact us. “I would also like to reassure the woman that she is not in trouble and any information she gives could really support our enquiries. “If you recognise her and have any information, please let us know as we continue to investigate.” A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “Officers have issued CCTV images of a woman who could assist with their enquiries following a report that a woman was raped in Liverpool city centre. “At about 4am on Sunday 19 July we received a report that a woman was raped inside a car parked at the Albert Dock.
