Authorities broke a window and pulled a woman to safety after car plunged into a Pompano Beach canal on Friday, officials said. The incident happened in the 2600 block of S. Palm Aire Drive, near Palm Aire Country Club. Broward Sheriff’s Office officials said the elderly woman somehow drove through a fence and into the canal next to a shopping plaza.
