Woman and seven-month-old baby named as victims of fatal Far North crash

Police have named a woman and infant who died in a crash in the Far North in August.Waihue Susan Epiha, 35 and Huhana Te Waiora Goodwin-Epiha, seven months, died after a multiple-vehicle crash on Oruru Road in Peria.Both were found deceased at the scene, police said.Two others were transported to hospital with serious injuries at the time."Police extend our deepest condolences to their whānau and friends during this incredibly difficult time," a statement said.Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash were ongoing, police said.
