The investigation eventually revealed that the woman had been pushed onto the tracks.The accused, identified as Prakash Solanki, has been arrested. Police said he confessed to the killing and later took him to the spot, where the sequence of events was recreated as part of the investigation. CCTV FOOTAGE PROVIDES CRUCIAL LEADAfter recovering the woman's body, police sent it to Rajkot Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Doctors confirmed that the injuries were consistent with a case of homicide.As suspicion grew, police examined CCTV footage from Gondal railway station. The footage showed the woman arriving at the station with Prakash at around 11.30 pm on August 3. The two were then seen walking towards the railway tracks and sitting there. About two hours later, as a train approached, Prakash asked the woman to move away from the tracks. However, as the train came closer, he pushed her onto the tracks, where she was run over.Soon after the incident, police traced Prakash and took him into custody for questioning.MARRIAGE PROPOSAL LEADS TO MURDERDuring interrogation, Prakash reportedly told police that he had met the woman some time ago and that the two eventually entered into a relationship.The woman wanted to marry him, but Prakash's family opposed the relationship. According to police, his family was not willing to accept the 45-year-old married woman as their daughter-in-law.Despite Prakash refusing to marry her, the woman continued to insist on marriage. Police suspect that the repeated pressure eventually prompted Prakash to plan her murder.Investigators allege that he called her to meet near the railway tracks and then used the approaching train to make the killing appear like an accident.WOMAN HAD BEEN LIVING SEPARATELY FROM HER HUSBANDPolice identified the victim after finding her son's photograph in her purse and subsequently contacting her family. They learned that she had been living separately from her husband for about two and a half years. Her husband works in Alang, Bhavnagar.The couple had two sons and two daughters.
