Wisp Makes It Easier To Manage Btrfs Snapshots From The GNOME Desktop

Wisp is a new GNOME Shell extension making it easier to graphically manage Btrfs file-system snapshots. What I found most interesting from the newest issue of This Week in GNOME, which was primarily about app updates following the recent GNOME 51 release, is Wisp as a new GNOME Shell extension. Wisp interfaces with Snapper to provide a nice means of managing Btrfs file-system snapshots on the system. For those not wanting to interact with Snapper from the command line for managing their Btrfs-based Linux systems, Wisp provides an easy way to do so graphically within the modern GNOME desktop. From Wisp one can easily view what files have changed between given Btrfs snapshots, adjust retention policies and other Snapper related settings, manually create a new file-system snapshot, and related tasks.
