Wine-Staging 11.18 Adds New Patches To Further Improve WoW64

Building off yesterday's Wine 11.18 bi-weekly development release is now Wine-Staging 11.18. This experimental flavor of Wine is presently carrying 273 extra patches over that upstream Git state, including some new patches for helping enhance the WoW64 support. Wine-Staging 11.18 includes some new WoW64 patches to check the binary before setting the WoW64 entry as well as for not writing WoW64 for 64-bit binaries. Wine WoW64 as a reminder is the means of running 32-bit Windows applications inside a pure 64-bit environment. One of the fixes with these latest WoW64 patches in staging is for this bug from 2019 around the kernel services code. There is similarly this bug report from 2020 also in the WoW64 services code. Wine-Staging 11.18 also carries new patches for converting YV12 to RGB on render in the Quartz code for this bug over Worms Forts: Under Siege (GOG.com) crashing when trying to play the intro. Aside from that work, Wine-Staging 11.18 also pulls in the latest VKD3D Git code. Wine-Staging 11.18 and Wine 11.18 are both available from WineHQ.org.
