Which Google Pixel 11 model should you buy?

One thing remains constant, though, and that's the number of models launched. There's the basic Pixel 11, the more advanced but petite Pixel 11 Pro, and the larger-than-life Pixel 11 Pro XL.Upgrades like increased internal memory, a faster processor, and the fancy HiLight in its RGB glory come at a cost; the Pixel 11 series starts at $100 more than the Pixel 10 series. The spike in RAM prices may also be to blame, but it doesn't matter who the culprit is. Following the across-the-board price increases, it sells for $899 with 256GB of storage and $1,019 for the 512GB variant. Both memory options come with 12GB of RAM. Unlike the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL, the Pixel 11 has different colorways.The Pixel 11 supports faster 25W wireless charging than the Pixel 10. Other changes include the new Tensor G6 chipset, all the latest Gemini features, and some camera upgrades, though you still get the lowest-resolution cameras in the Pixel 11 family and no HiLight RGB light. Notably, the Pixel 11 has a slightly larger 4,985mAh battery compared to the Pixel 11 Pro's 4,850mAh.For the price that you pay, the year-over-year upgrades aren't significant enough, making it really hard to recommend the base Pixel 11. It just doesn't make sense. Meanwhile, the 512GB and 1TB variants bump the RAM to 16GB, priced at $1,219 and $1,449, respectively. The 11 Pro shares the same charging specs as the base Pixel 11, but for some reason it has a smaller battery than the Pixel 10 Pro and the Pixel 11.The HiLight adds a glowing dot to your Pixel 11 Pro, so you can get more info about your notifications without picking up your phone. It has the same Tensor G6 chipset and advanced Gemini features as the rest of the Pixel 11 family.The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL are nearly identical in every way except for size, battery capacity, and charging speeds. This is a rare instance where you truly get two different size options for the exact same flagship phone, including identical colorways. You get the same cameras on both phones, which is a huge bonus if you want a small phone that doesn't compromise on camera quality.Choosing between the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL comes down to size preference, then. If you're not keen on carrying a 6.8-inch device that is an ounce heavier than the petite Pro model, there's no need to upgrade to the larger, more expensive Pro XL. You might get a smaller battery, but the smaller display should consume less power than the Pixel 11 Pro XL, which should average out the uptime to some extent. Like the rest, the Pro XL starts at $100 more. The base memory variant costs $1,299 for 256GB of storage and a lower 12GB of RAM than the last-gen Pixel 10 Pro XL. The other two variants come with 16GB of RAM and are priced at $1,419 for 512GB and $1,649 for 1TB of storage.The Pixel 11 Pro XL is equipped with all the latest features you would expect: the advanced Tensor G6 chipset with the Titan M3 security chip, Gemini's latest capabilities such as Rambler and Magic Capture, and the HiLight notification LED. The cameras have also been upgraded, elevating what was already a brilliant photography and videography experience.Google pulled all the stops with this one, giving it the largest battery and fastest charging speed of the Pixel 11 trio. The big screen does make this the heaviest Pixel 11, though, and it has a smaller battery compared to the older Pixel 10 Pro XL.
