Mutiny's reviews have skewed negative, with George Bate's review for Screen Rant giving it a 3 out of 10, saying, "Mutiny struggles to do much of anything particularly well." Lionsgate is responsible for distributing the movie in North America, while Sky Cinema/StudioCanal handled getting it on the big screen in the United Kingdom. The movie went to theaters with the hope that it could find a global audience and produce a solid box office return. While Mutiny has a reported budget of $40 million, Lionsgate did not finance the movie, acquiring the distribution rights for a much smaller sum. It's unclear exactly how much Mutiny needs to make to be considered a box office success for Lionsgate. But watching Mutiny is only possible in theaters for the foreseeable future. It will become available on streaming at a later date. When Will Mutiny Be Released On Streaming? While Mutiny leaked on Prime Video days before its theatrical release, the movie is not formally available on any streaming service right now. In fact, it won't even make its streaming debut on Prime Video. As a Lionsgate release, Mutiny will head to Starz first, but anyone planning to wait for this release will need to be patient. Lionsgate tends to wait about four months to make movies available on Starz. Sydney Sweeney's The Housemaid took 103 days. Ana de Armas' John Wick spinoff Ballerina took 111 days. The Long Walk and Now You See Me: Now You Don't both waited 120 days. This would project Mutiny's streaming release on Starz for December 2026. Most of Lionsgate's movies do go to Prime Video after releasing on Starz, so Mutiny will move around on streaming once it does move to this format. Leak aside, Prime Video users will also have the option to buy or rent Statham's movie on digital through Amazon's service before it goes to any streamer. This tends to happen within a month of a film's theatrical release for Lionsgate. That would place Mutiny on digital sometime in September 2026. So, theaters remain the exclusive way to watch Statham's action movie for at least a few weeks, where it can hopefully find success.
