Actor Karisma Kapoor has reacted to the viral conversation surrounding Shahid Kapoor's wife, Mira Rajput and sister Kareena Kapoor Khan on the latter's show, What Women Want. During Kareena's appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 9, host Karan Johar initiated a phone call to Karisma, who was unprepared for the topic.When Kareena asked Karisma what she was doing, Karisma said, "I'm just watching you and Mira. Everywhere. Everyone's like, 'What's going on?'"Kareena immediately clarified the context of their previous meeting. "What do you mean? She came on my show, What Women Want," she added.Navigating the unexpected pairing, Karisma responded and said, "Sweet, very nice." However, when Johar mentioned that Kareena and Mira were appearing together on Koffee With Karan, Karisma said, "Oh no! How can you all do this to me?" Saif Ali Khan, who was also present, expressed mild amusement at the pairing, adding, "I was just a little like... where is this going?"This is not the first instance where Saif Ali Khan has addressed his connection with Kareena's former partner, Shahid Kapoor. During a joint appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 5 in 2017 to promote their film Rangoon alongside Kangana Ranaut, Johar asked if there was any awkwardness between them.Saif dismissed the premise, and said, "I do love history, but this is older than mediaeval times now. I think. It's way back." He added, "Water under the bridge. He is a lovely guy. We got along perfectly well from the first time we met." Shahid similarly downplayed any friction, adding, "There was none at all, actually."Kareena and Shahid were in a relationship in the early 2000s, having begun dating while working on the 2004 romantic thriller Fida. The duo parted ways prior to the release of their 2007 romantic comedy Jab We Met.
