Wetherspoons confirms SIX new pubs opening in the UK this September – full list of locations

WETHERSPOONS has confirmed it will open six new venues across the UK this September. The discount pub chain is beloved for its cheap drinks and low-price food, as well as its iconic all-day breakfast. The site will create 70 jobs for residents in the surrounding Cheshire area. In the same week, The Red Gown pub will welcome its first visitors on Friday 4, located in the revamped Students Association building at St Andrew’s University. The budget boozer takes its name from the graduation robes worn by students and will be owned and operated by the students’ union under a Wetherspoons business model. Tuesday 8 will see the arrival of a Wetherspoons branch in Southampton called The Heath Hotel, and locals can find the new discount pub on Beaulieu Road, Manchester Airport will be opening its first-ever Wetherspoons pub, named after the iconic Mancunian spot – The Belle Vue. The 338 sq m pub can be found in the Terminal 2 Departures lounge, able to seat over 300 passengers waiting for flights. The Ferndown branch was previously owned by the eatery chain, which is set to close all 106 restaurants by September, under the name The Smugglers Haunt. It appears the site comes with a slight delay, as original reports stated the new haunt would welcome customers from August. Rounding up the September openings is The Fletton Brick in Bedford. The site will fling open the doors on Tuesday 29 and is located near the new Universal Studios theme park. Comment now
