OSCAR BOBB burst West Ham’s bubbles as his 78th-minute winner sent Fulham through. The second-half sub cashed in after Mo Kante lost possession on the edge of his box to fire past Finlay Herrick. The visitors took a 13th-minute lead when Rodrigo Muniz planted a header home after Cesar Palacios pulled the ball back. But West Ham — fresh from beating Wrexham 6-0 on Friday — took just three minutes to level the tie. Arne Engels’ deep cross was headed back into the danger zone by Konstantinos Mavropanos for Morato to head his first Hammers goal. Rookie keeper Herrick, 20, then got down well to push a Palacios shot around the post. But Fulham went route one to restore their lead in the 37th minute. Joachim Andersen raked a ball forward for Palacios to run on to before shooting past Herrick. Cottagers keeper Benjamin Lecomte could only parry the ball and Pablo grabbed his first goal since his January move to the London Stadium. In the second half, West Ham sub Manor Solomon scurried into the box only for Antonee Robinson to deflect his shot wide. And Mavropanos headed Jarrod Bowen’s resulting corner off target. But it was Fulham who went 3-2 up as Bobb blasted past Herrick with 13 minutes to go. Bowen’s cut-back gave Taty Castellanos a late chance to force penalties but his shot was tame. Before the game West Ham paid tribute to their legendary 1990s keeper Ludek Miklosko, who died on Monday after a long battle with cancer. Tomas Soucek laid down a Miklosko No 1 shirt in honour of his late Czech countryman during a minute’s applause. Comment now
