We’re Already Waiting for News About ‘Adults’ Season 3

If the ending of Adults season 2 has you gagged and eager to hear if Adults has been renewed for season 3, welcome in. This is a safe space! So romantic! So chaotic! What happens next? Here’s what we know about the future of the FX on Hulu comedy. The whole season dropped on Hulu on August 28, 2026. That is a bit of a shame, to be brutally honest. It would have been nice to talk about every episode one at a time, week by week. As exciting as it is to have a whole season to binge ASAP, that kid on Christmas feeling fades pretty quickly. It’s already over! It’s like, now what...If you’re here and haven’t watched for whatever reason, Adults is a hangout comedy about five twenty-somethings living in their friends’ jet-setting parents’ house in Queens. Season 2 confirms that it’s more Seinfeld than Friends. So cool! Too many shows try to be the next generation of Friends. We need more Seinfeld babies. (It’s also very New Girl, but... it is a truth universally acknowledged that sitcoms set in New York City can only be compared to other sitcoms set in New York City.)The second season switched up the character dynamics in some pretty major ways and we still haven’t met Samir’s parents! At some point, they have to come back, and I need the show to be on the air long enough to let that happen. The fan ‘shipping Paul Baker and Anton is starting to break containment online, and there are some other fun romantic pairings to be had.Don’t you want to stay with these characters and this cast for so much longer? Jack Innanen and Owen Thiele are getting more famous by the day. Already season 2 is spreading the love for Amita Rao, Malik Elassal, and Lucy Freyer as well. Let’s keep them employed as the next iconic sitcom ensemble. Adults is totally going to get renewed, right? Please? As of the season 2 premiere, FX has not announced Adults’ fate. It’s annoying, but not cause for alarm just yet. The show was renewed for a second season two months after the first season premiered in 2025. There is still time. In my opinion, FX on Hulu needs a new hit comedy. The Bear just ended after five seasons, and no shade but Adults actually has jokes! But, you know, we gotta wait and see. When would Adults season 3 drop on Hulu?See? That Christmas morning feeling didn’t last, did it? You’re already trying to start counting the days. The good news is that sitcoms are pretty quick and fast to make. They don’t require a lot of expensive locations, special effects, or prior planning compared to other television shows. Not to shock you, but once upon a time sitcoms would start airing their new season while later episodes in that same season were still being written, shot, and edited! Some sitcoms still do that! The only potential problem is scheduling. As mentioned above, Innanen and Thiele especially are a lot more famous than they were a year ago. Let’s hope they’re not so in-demand that they can’t keep making this show. The first two seasons were a year apart, in August of 2025 and August of 2026. So, barring scheduling conflicts, if the show is renewed for season 3 then we will likely see it in August of 2027. Salt air, the rust on your door, Adults slipped away like a bottle of wine, etc.
