‘We paid the price’: End of Rankin County schools desegregation order worries Black residents
Black Rankin County schools alumni, as well as parents and former teachers, say discrimination still exists in the district. Last month, a judge released the district from a federal desegregation order put in place almost 60 years ago to curb racial discrimination.
