Watch: Sonu Nigam sings through pain during surgery, performs for doctors

Singer Sonu Nigam turned an unexpected moment in the operating theatre into a musical one. During his surgery, Sonu gave an impromptu performance for his doctor and the medical staff, singing through the pain and sharing the moment with his fans.The playback singer shared a video on Instagram from the operating theatre, in which he can be heard singing Mohammed Rafi’s iconic track Suhani raat dhal chuki from the 1949 film Dulari.“An impromptu performance for dear @drnileshsatbhai and his loving team during my surgery. Singing in the pain...the Joy of Music!” Sonu captioned the video.The unusual clip quickly caught attention on social media, with several fans wishing him a speedy recovery. One of the fans commented, “My lord, such a beautiful voice please take care, get well soonest (sic),” while another wrote, “Speedy recovery for the voice of God.” A third user chimed in and wrote, “Get well soon wish u a speedy recovery.”The reason for Sonu’s surgery has not been revealed. However, in June, the singer had opened up about dealing with a painful nerve-related condition. He revealed that he was undergoing treatment and had undergone several MRI and CT scans.
