Dancing With the Stars delivered a truly epic series of performances during Disney Night, including a packed opening number complete with a Newsies segment. And the whole thing was so well-choreographed that one of the dancers fell over and recovered so flawlessly that everyone thought it was on purpose. While there was some debate from fans online, turns out this fall was, in fact, a fall. Dancer Diego Pasillas confirmed as much on Instagram, saying “You guys. I just ate it on national television.” He then did an example of the correct move, recreated his fall, and said “the show must go on.”Diego’s comments were filled with praise and support from his fellow Dancing With the Stars cast members, including Hailey Bills, who wrote “BUT THE WAY YOU GOT UP,” and Val Chmerkovskiy who commented, “Bro you shablammed it and then shamblammed it in the air.”Reminder: pro Adele Zaikman had to unexpectedly skip Disney Night due to being sick, and The Sun reports that her absence “left producers and dancers racing to rework multiple performances,” with the rehearsals “becoming even more chaotic” since she was booked for three different dances.“She had to drop out very last minute, so that mixed with the week already being one day shorter has been really hectic behind the scenes,” a source said. “Multiple troupe members are going to fill in for her. The opening number was the big one. The other two she just had a tiny part, so it wasn’t as big of a deal to fill. But the troupe has been practicing all Monday before showtime.”In other words, this was a slightly last-minute routine without a lot of practice time!
