Sign in to your TheGamer account Warhammer 40,000 has so many intriguing chapters and factions that it can feel practically impossible to keep track of them all at times, with the limited number of official releases making it even harder to satisfy everyone. From disenfranchised alien races, characters lost to time, or chapters that have been all but forgotten about, Warhammer 40k is filled with untapped potential for classic favorites to adapt into the modern age. Thankfully, Games Workshop has been getting better at delving into some of the older factions in the franchise, with the newest release being a long-overdue return of an incredibly unique chapter of Space Marines that look better than they ever have before, which you can see for yourself in the official trailer on the Warhammer 40,000 YouTube channel. The Legion Of The Damned Are Officially Back After an incredibly long hiatus, the mysterious Legion of the Damned chapter of Space Marines is finally returning to the tabletop's 11th edition in the form of Kill Team: Armageddon. Facing off against an Ork warband, Legion of the Damned's return comes with plenty of bonuses to make it worth checking out for fans or even new players of the tabletop game. The Legion of the Damned models will also be sold separately at a later date Rather than resorting to painted-on flames or kitbashing your own models, Legion of the Damned's return comes with a complete visual overhaul where flames are physically bursting from the armor of each model, offering an incredibly stylish return for the older Legion. The gameplay style of the Legion of the Damned also gets some updated flair as well, with their power starting slower before getting stronger and more aggressive as a match goes on. Everything Included In Kill Team: Armageddon Unlike some of the mixed reactions to previous Kill Teams, Warhammer 40K's latest release with Armageddon has been getting plenty of praise for its flavorful additions to the format, which come with all of the following units alongside several other goodies: Space Marines Orks Legionnaire Sergeant Killa Boss Ancient Klaw Boss Legionnaire Incinerator Skorcha Boss Legionnaire Gunner Hacka Boss Legionnaire Legionaire (x6) Klobber Boss Dakaka Boss Boss Nob Grots (x3) The duplicate units for each faction aren't simply copy-and-pasted either, as every single model in Kill Team: Armageddon is individually detailed with its own armor and pose. Of course, as usual with Kill Teams, you aren't just paying for the units, as the kit will come with the following terrain and game board assets. Two sturdy bunkers Ruins and scatter terrain A wrecked Redemptor Dreadnought A wrecked Rogal Dorn Battle Tank Cracked Desert Playboard Rules Dossier Unit Cards Effect Tokens With Kill Teams being perfect for playing a smaller-scale match right out of the box, Admageddon is an excellent way to jump into the format if you're a fan of the newer models, or simply adding the nostalgic release to your Warhammer 40,000 collection.
