Walkers unveils 2026 Christmas crisps — with discontinued flavour returning after 5 years

Every year, confectionery giants Walkers launch festive flavours, all specifically tied to the most wonderful time of the year. Last year, fans were treated to Beef Wellington and Emmental Cheese, and now, the brand is reviving three flavours: Pigs in Blankets, Roast Potatoes, and Sensations Honey Glazed Roast Ham. Arriving in 25g packs in bags of five, the first two are retailing for £2.30 a pop. Meanwhile, the Sensations flavour, a Walkers spin-off which comes in a slightly larger packet, is available for £2.50 (for a bag weighing 150g). Naturally, because they’re all festive flavours, they’re all only available on a limited-edition basis – so you’ll need to nab them while you can. Customers have already spotted the variations in stores, and many are glad to see their return, considering the Pigs in Blankets flavour hasn’t been seen since 2023, while the Roast Potatoes have been gone for the last five years, last appearing on shelves for Christmas 2021. In the comments section, Simon Tilbury joked, ‘potato flavoured crisps? Whatever next?,’ while Emma Smith described them as ‘Marmite flavours’. Sophie Hawkins said she was ‘so happy’ they were back, noting Pigs in Blankets specifically were the ‘best,’ while Mike Arnold, again, likened the Roast Potatoes flavour to ‘potato on potato’. PepsiCo, the brand behind Walkers, is also behind several other significant crisp names, including Doritos, which has also unveiled a special flavour for Christmas 2026, albeit slightly more controversial. Doritos is bringing innovation to the Yuletide table this year, as it’s introducing a Gingerbread flavour, which went viral on TikTok in 2025, garnering an impressive 1 million views from snack-hungry shoppers. Rob Pothier, marketing director at PepsiCo, noted 84% of shoppers stock up on Christmas snacks before the festivities even begin. They’ve been likened to ‘Marmite’ for their controversial flavours (Picture: Instagram) He said: ‘Christmas is a huge opportunity for savoury snacking, with shoppers stocking up for every occasion, from family get-togethers and parties to nights in and the days between Christmas and New Year. ‘Our Christmas portfolio is designed to stand out in store and make it easy for shoppers to find what they need, whether that’s a familiar favourite or a seasonal flavour.’ Other Christmas launches Deals of the Day Most of us aren't getting enough fibre – this easy supplement could change that My honest review of the new UKLash Lash Lift Gel Kurt Geiger's new Notting Hill collection is a love letter to London's chaotic weather Dyson fans are swapping to this Hoover vacuum-mop that washes floors as it cleans I tried L'Oréal Paris's new PDRN serum and my skin looked glossier after one use Festive menus have already started launching at high street coffee chains and bakeries, with Greggs among the first off the blocks.
